Total 24 Hours of Spa

There are very few races in the world of motorsport that have as unique, definitive and special atmosphere as the Total 24 Hours of Spa. Held over the final weekend of July, this race has become one of the first that teams, sponsors, drivers and fans look out for ever year.

The 24-hour race around the Spa-Francorchamps circuit has a rich and varied heritage. First held in 1924 when it measured an astonishing 14kms in length, the Total 24 Hours of Spa is now one of the most popular races in world motorsport with over 60,000 fans attending the gruelling race. The supreme test of man and machine on the fabled Spa-Francorchamps circuit, the Total 24 Hours of Spa is much more than just a race, it is also a festival. People from across Europe swarm to the Ardennes forest for a unique racing and party experience where the latest GT technology mixes perfectly with the atmosphere of the annual outdoor concert and carnival atmosphere.

As well as an event all on its own, for the sixth year running, the race will be a round of the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup. Double points are awarded for the results and competition is fierce throughout the massive 60-car grid, with four classes, overall, Pro-Am, Silver, Am, vying for the honour to join some of the most legendary names in motorsport.

As well as huge crowds, the Total 24 Hours of Spa also attracts a large TV following across the world, with the viewers buying in to the emotional investment of the race through the trials and tribulations of the competitors, usually in the notorious micro-climate of Spa.

2019 will be 71st running of the Total 24 Hours of Spa, the ultimate test of man and machine.
